Overview
AUR104 is a small molecule dual inhibitor of MDM2 (Mouse Double Minute 2) and MDMX (Mouse Double Minute 4), developed by Aurigene Discovery Technologies for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug is designed to restore the activity of the p53 tumor suppressor protein, which is frequently inactivated in cancers through the overexpression of its negative regulators, MDM2 and MDMX. By simultaneously inhibiting both proteins, AUR104 aims to achieve more potent and sustained p53 activation than single-target MDM2 inhibitors, which can be limited by MDMX-mediated resistance. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
