Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aurixim is a rituximab conjugate under development by BioIntegrator for the treatment of several B-cell lymphomas, including B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia (lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma), extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, nodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma, small lymphocytic lymphoma, and lymphoma of lien marginal zone cells. The drug is administered as an intravenous infusion. Its mechanism of action involves targeting CD20 on B-cells via the rituximab component[1]. Rituximab is a recombinant chimeric murine/human antibody directed against the CD20 antigen with potential antineoplastic activity[7]. Aurixim is currently in Phase I clinical trials for Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia[1].
