AVETUX

AVETUX is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody referencing rituximab, developed by Avestha Gengraine Technologies (Avesthagen). It is designed to target the CD20 antigen, a protein primarily found on the surface of B-lymphocytes. By binding to CD20, AVETUX facilitates the destruction of B-cells through multiple pathways, including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and the induction of apoptosis. The drug is being developed for the treatment of B-cell-mediated conditions, including various types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis.
