Overview

BA3151 is a second-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by BioAtla, Inc., targeting B7-H4 (also known as VTCN1). It utilizes BioAtla's proprietary Conditionally Active Biologics (CAB) platform, which is designed to ensure that the antibody binds to its target specifically within the unique microenvironment of diseased tissue, such as the acidic conditions typical of tumors, while remaining inactive in healthy tissues. This approach aims to enhance the therapeutic index by reducing off-target toxicities. BA3151 is intended for the treatment of various solid tumors, including breast, colon, kidney, ovarian, and prostate cancers, where B7-H4 is often overexpressed and associated with poor clinical outcomes. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
