Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of baricitinib, an oral selective JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor, and methotrexate, a conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (csDMARD). This combination is primarily used for treating moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in patients who have had inadequate response to previous therapies. The combination provides superior efficacy compared to either agent alone, with more rapid and greater improvements in disease activity, pain relief, and physical function.
