BART-target CAR T cells (B-cell Antigen Receptor Targeted CAR T cells) represent a platform of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapies developed by Beijing Boren Hospital. This approach typically involves the sequential administration of CAR T cells targeting different B-cell surface antigens, such as CD19, CD22, and CD20, to mitigate the risk of antigen escape and improve durable response rates in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies. The platform has been specifically evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for the treatment of B-cell lymphomas with challenging presentations, including those involving the central nervous system (CNS) or the maxillofacial region. By targeting multiple antigens sequentially, the BART platform aims to overcome the limitations of single-target CAR T therapies in aggressive or sanctuary-site lymphomas.
