Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BEBT-738 is a kidney-targeted oligonucleotide developed by Guangzhuo BeBetter Medicine Technology for the treatment of diabetes. Utilizing the company's proprietary POC-kidney platform, the drug is designed to specifically target renal tissues to reduce the expression or function of Sodium/glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2). By inhibiting SGLT2, BEBT-738 aims to lower glucose reabsorption in the proximal tubules of the kidney, thereby promoting glucose excretion in the urine and improving glycemic control in patients with diabetes. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
