Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BHV-1500 is a next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting CD30, currently under development by Biohaven for the treatment of CD30-positive malignancies, including Hodgkin Lymphoma. The molecule consists of a CD30-directed monoclonal antibody conjugated to the potent microtubule-disrupting agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE). BHV-1500 utilizes Biohaven's proprietary conjugation technology, which is designed to achieve a more stable and consistent drug-antibody ratio (DAR) compared to earlier ADCs like brentuximab vedotin. This enhanced stability aims to minimize the premature release of the cytotoxic payload in systemic circulation, thereby improving the pharmacokinetic profile and potentially reducing off-target toxicities while maintaining high anti-tumor activity.
