BLX-301

BLX-301 is a humanized, glyco‑optimized monoclonal antibody targeting the B‑cell surface antigen CD20, developed using Biolex Therapeutics’ plant-based LEX expression platform for the treatment of non-Hodgkin B‑cell lymphoma and other B‑cell malignancies. By binding CD20 on B lymphocytes and malignant B cells, BLX-301 is intended to mediate B‑cell depletion through immune effector mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and complement-dependent cytotoxicity, with glyco‑engineering designed to enhance effector function. The program originated at Biolex and, along with the LEX platform, was later acquired by Synthon, with BLX-301 remaining at a preclinical or very early development stage and not known to have entered formal clinical trials.
