bortezomib + rituximab

Bortezomib + rituximab is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of mantle cell lymphoma and other B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Bortezomib is a small molecule proteasome inhibitor that disrupts the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, leading to accumulation of proteins that induce apoptosis in malignant cells. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on B lymphocytes, resulting in cell lysis through complement-dependent cytotoxicity and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity. The combination has shown synergistic effects, particularly by enhancing apoptosis and inhibiting survival pathways such as NFκB and Akt signaling[2][4][6].
