Overview

Bv-NAVD-R is an experimental chemo-immunotherapy combination regimen being evaluated for the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with newly diagnosed mature B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (MB-NHL) and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). Developed by New York Medical College and studied in the Phase 2 RADICAL trial (NCT05253495), the regimen consists of the anti-CD30 antibody-drug conjugate brentuximab vedotin, the PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab, and the anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab, combined with a chemotherapy backbone of doxorubicin (Adriamycin), vinblastine, and dacarbazine. The regimen is designed to leverage targeted immunotherapy to maintain high cure rates while reducing the intensity of conventional chemotherapy and radiation, thereby minimizing long-term toxicities such as cardiotoxicity and secondary malignancies in young patients.
