Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A multi-agent chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimen that combines brentuximab vedotin (an antibody-drug conjugate targeting CD30), rituximab (an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), doxorubicin (an anthracycline topoisomerase II inhibitor), vincristine (a vinca alkaloid inhibiting microtubule formation), and prednisone (a corticosteroid). This combination brings together mechanisms of targeted cytotoxicity, immune-mediated cell death, and broad cytotoxic effects on rapidly dividing cells. It is investigational as a combination for aggressive B-cell lymphomas such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and has parallels to established regimens like R-CHOP, but with the substitution/addition of brentuximab vedotin for broadened cytotoxic targeting.
