Caflanone + HLNT-06 is a preclinical-stage small-molecule drug candidate being developed by Flavocure Biotech, in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine, for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) diseases. Caflanone (also known as FBL-03G or HLNT-06) is a synthetic, non-cannabinoid flavonoid derivative designed as the unnatural isomer of cannflavin B, a natural metabolite found in Cannabis sativa. The drug's therapeutic mechanism involves the dual inhibition of macrophage colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) and casein kinase II (CK2), both of which are key regulators of neuroinflammation and microglial activation. While the broader Caflanone platform has received FDA Orphan Drug Designation and IND clearance for pancreatic cancer, the CNS-focused program remains in preclinical development.
