Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAM2043 is an investigational long-acting subcutaneous depot formulation of treprostinil, developed by Camurus using its proprietary FluidCrystal® technology. Treprostinil is a small molecule prostacyclin (IP) receptor agonist that induces vasodilation and inhibits platelet aggregation and smooth muscle cell proliferation. CAM2043 is designed for once-weekly self-administration to provide continuous therapeutic levels of treprostinil, aiming to improve upon existing continuous infusion systems that are often associated with site pain and infection risks. It is currently being evaluated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and Raynaud's phenomenon secondary to systemic sclerosis.
