Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CAR-T CD20 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by YaKe Biotechnology for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, including B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a CAR that specifically targets the CD20 antigen, a protein widely expressed on the surface of mature B cells and most B-cell lymphomas. Upon binding to CD20-positive tumor cells, the CAR-T cells are activated to induce targeted cytotoxicity and eliminate the malignant cells. The product is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety and efficacy in patients with relapsed or refractory CD20+ hematologic cancers.
