Overview

Caudatin is a C21 steroidal glycoside isolated from plants of the genus Cynanchum. It has been used in traditional medicine and is known for its anticancer properties. Caudatin induces apoptosis in cancer cells by modulating the expression of pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins, and it inhibits cell proliferation and migration. It interacts with multiple molecular targets, including uPA, MMP9, and JAK2. Caudatin also inhibits tumor growth in vivo by reducing tumor size and weight.
