Overview

CBT-001 is a peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) being developed by C-BIOMEX for the treatment of cancers overexpressing carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX), with a primary focus on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The drug consists of a proprietary peptide ligand, discovered using C-BIOMEX's CUSTM platform, conjugated to the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177. CBT-001 specifically targets and binds to CAIX on the surface of tumor cells, delivering cytotoxic radiation that induces DNA damage and subsequent cell death. Preclinical studies are being conducted in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center to support an anticipated Investigational New Drug (IND) application with the FDA.
