Overview

CD07387 is a small molecule Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor developed by Galderma for the topical treatment of vitiligo. Vitiligo is an autoimmune skin condition characterized by the loss of melanocytes, leading to depigmented patches of skin. The pathogenesis of vitiligo involves the IFN-γ/STAT1 signaling pathway, which drives the production of CXCL10 by keratinocytes, subsequently recruiting autoreactive T cells that destroy melanocytes. By selectively inhibiting JAK1, CD07387 aims to disrupt this inflammatory loop, potentially allowing for melanocyte repopulation and skin repigmentation. The compound is formulated as a topical solution and has been evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its safety, local tolerability, and pharmacodynamic effects in patients with vitiligo.
