Overview

CD19xCD20 SIR-T is an investigational cell therapy developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. It utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) technology, which engineers T-cells to express a synthetic receptor that mimics the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. This design is intended to provide more physiological signaling compared to traditional CAR-T cells, potentially enhancing cell persistence and reducing exhaustion. By simultaneously targeting CD19 and CD20, two proteins commonly found on the surface of B-cell cancers, the therapy aims to minimize the risk of tumor escape through antigen loss. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase of development.
