Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CD20-TXP1 is a blood-brain barrier (BBB)-penetrant therapeutic candidate being developed by Ossianix for the treatment of progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) and potentially cerebral lymphoma. It consists of a Type II anti-CD20 antibody genetically fused to TXP1, a second-generation, brain-selective single-domain VNAR antibody shuttle derived from sharks that targets transferrin receptor-1 (TfR1). This fusion enables receptor-mediated transcytosis across the BBB, resulting in a significant increase in central nervous system (CNS) exposure. Once in the CNS, CD20-TXP1 drives direct cellular cytotoxicity (DCC)-mediated B-cell depletion independent of complement, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), or antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP).
