Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The CD3-CD20 bispecific antibody is a preclinical-stage T-cell engaging therapeutic being developed by Benhealth Biopharmaceutical. Engineered using the company's proprietary ExMab platform, the antibody is designed to bridge T-cells and B-cells by simultaneously targeting the CD3 epsilon subunit of the T-cell receptor complex and the CD20 antigen expressed on the surface of B-lymphocytes. This mechanism of action triggers the formation of an immunological synapse, leading to the activation and proliferation of cytotoxic T-cells and the subsequent directed lysis of CD20-positive cells. The program is intended for the treatment of various B-cell malignancies, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, where CD20 is a well-validated therapeutic target.
