Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CDP571 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), a protein involved in systemic inflammation. It was developed for the treatment of inflammatory conditions, particularly Crohn's disease. Clinical trials showed modest effectiveness for short-term treatment of Crohn's disease, with better responses observed in patients with elevated baseline C-reactive protein levels.
