Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chunwangbosim-dan (also known as Cheonwangbosim-dan or Tian Wang Bu Xin Dan) is a traditional East Asian herbal prescription composed of 15 medicinal herbs, including Rehmannia glutinosa, Coptis japonica, and Angelica gigas. It is widely used as an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine in South Korea and other East Asian countries to treat insomnia, anxiety, depression, and heart palpitations. In addition to its traditional uses, Chunwangbosim-dan is being investigated for its potential therapeutic benefits in mild cognitive impairment (MCI), post-COVID-19 fatigue, and chronic pruritus. Network pharmacology and molecular docking studies suggest that its active components, such as coptisine and isoacetoside, modulate inflammatory and immune signaling pathways by interacting with key mediators like AKT1, JAK2, and EGFR.
