ciprofloxacin + neomycin + vancomycin

This is a combination of three antibiotics—ciprofloxacin, neomycin, and vancomycin. Each component has a distinct mechanism of action:

• Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.
• Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that binds to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, causing misreading of mRNA and inhibiting protein synthesis.
• Vancomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic that inhibits cell wall synthesis in Gram-positive bacteria by binding to D-Ala-D-Ala terminus of cell wall precursor units.

This combination would provide broad-spectrum antibacterial coverage against both Gram-positive (including resistant strains) and Gram-negative organisms. However, there are no widely recognized or approved pharmaceutical products containing all three agents together; combinations such as ciprofloxacin plus vancomycin have been studied for severe infections but not typically with neomycin included. The use of multiple antibiotics together can increase risk for adverse effects such as nephrotoxicity or ototoxicity, and may profoundly alter gut microbiota if administered orally.
