Citranvi Biosciences is developing the Citranvi Global Multiantigen hCMV Vaccine, a protein-based biologic candidate for the prevention of human cytomegalovirus (hCMV) infection. The vaccine utilizes a proprietary herpesvirus protein multimeric technology platform licensed from the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF), which was originally developed by researchers at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). This platform enables the production of recombinant proteins in a multimeric format, designed to enhance immunogenicity and stimulate the production of protective antibodies against multiple viral antigens. Currently in preclinical development, the vaccine is intended for women of childbearing age to prevent congenital hCMV transmission and for immunosuppressed individuals, including solid organ and stem cell transplant recipients.
