Overview

A combination of clonidine, a centrally acting alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, and flunitrazepam, a potent benzodiazepine. This combination has been studied for use in premedication before surgical procedures and for treating alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Both drugs have sedative properties that can be synergistic when combined.
