Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This regimen combines four agents with different mechanisms of action: colaspase (L-asparaginase/PEG-asparaginase) which depletes asparagine essential for leukemic cell survival, mercaptopurine which interferes with nucleic acid biosynthesis, prednisolone which has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, and vincristine which disrupts microtubule formation preventing cell division. This combination is used in various phases of ALL treatment including induction, consolidation, and maintenance therapy.
