Overview

CS12192 is a novel small molecule inhibitor developed by Chipscreen Biosciences. It selectively targets Janus kinase 3 (JAK3), Janus kinase 1 (JAK1), and TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1). The drug is being investigated for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and related conditions such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory bowel disease, prurigo nodularis, alopecia areata, and idiopathic dermatitis. Mechanistically, CS12192 inhibits JAK/STAT signaling pathways by blocking JAK3/JAK1/TBK1 activity. This results in reduced inflammatory cytokine production and modulation of immune cell responses. Preclinical studies have shown efficacy in models of rheumatoid arthritis and alopecia areata[1][6][7]. The drug is administered orally as a capsule[5][7].
