Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: - **Cyclophosphamide** (an alkylating agent/chemotherapy drug that interferes with DNA replication and cell division, leading to cancer cell death) - **Prednisone** (a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid that suppresses inflammation and immune responses, also used as part of cancer regimens for its cytotoxic effects on certain lymphoid cells) - **Rituximab** (a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on B lymphocytes, leading to their destruction via immune-mediated mechanisms) This combination is used in the treatment of various B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Each component has a distinct mechanism of action, contributing synergistically to anti-tumor activity. The regimen may be used alone or as part of larger multi-drug protocols such as R-CVP or R-CHOP[1][2][3].
