Desrhamnosyl acteoside, also known as calceolarioside A, is a phenylethanoid glycoside phytochemical isolated from *Digitalis purpurea* L. and other medicinal plants. It is currently being investigated as a potential therapeutic candidate for atopic dermatitis (AD) and other inflammatory skin disorders. The compound exhibits a unique multi-modal mechanism of action by simultaneously inhibiting three major signaling pathways: NF-κB, JAK2/STAT1, and MAPK. This combined activity leads to a significant reduction in the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as IL-6 and IL-8) and chemokines (such as CCL17 and CCL22). Beyond its anti-inflammatory effects, desrhamnosyl acteoside demonstrates barrier-protective properties by upregulating key epidermal differentiation markers, including involucrin and loricrin, thereby addressing both the immune and structural components of AD.
