Divozilimab

Divozilimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the CD20 antigen on B lymphocytes. Its primary mechanism of action is the depletion of CD20+ B cells, which plays a key role in modulating immune responses implicated in autoimmune diseases. Divozilimab was developed by Biocad and is marketed under the brand name Ivlizi in Russia. It received its first approval from the Russian Ministry of Health in April 2023 for treating relapsing multiple sclerosis. The drug has also been registered for systemic scleroderma and is undergoing phase 3 clinical trials for neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Clinical studies have demonstrated that divozilimab effectively reduces relapse rates and MRI disease activity compared to teriflunomide in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, with an acceptable safety profile[3][5][6][8].
