Overview

ELC-301 is a fourth-generation, autologous CAR T-cell therapy developed by Elicera Therapeutics for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, specifically targeting CD20-positive cancers such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), mantle cell lymphoma, and indolent lymphoma. Unlike earlier CAR T therapies that target CD19, ELC-301 targets the CD20 antigen on B cells, providing an alternative for patients who relapse after CD19-directed treatments. The therapy incorporates Elicera’s proprietary iTANK platform technology, which arms the CAR T cells with a transgene encoding neutrophil-activating bacterial protein (NAP). This dual mechanism not only enables direct targeting and killing of cancer cells expressing CD20 but also activates the patient’s own immune system to attack tumor cells more broadly—including those lacking the primary antigen—by recruiting endogenous killer T-cells against multiple tumor antigens. ELC-301 is currently in Phase I/II clinical trials in Sweden for relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphomas[1][2][3][5][6].
