Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Elian Granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and precancerous lesions of gastric cancer. It consists of 12 Chinese herbs and was designed based on TCM principles to address spleen-stomach deficiency, phlegm-dampness, heat-toxin, and qi-blood stasis. Clinical studies have shown that Elian Granule significantly improves gastric mucosal atrophy and intestinal metaplasia, alleviates dyspeptic symptoms such as epigastric pain, distension, discomfort, early satiety, heartburn, belching and acid reflux in CAG patients. The granules also enhance quality of life scores for both physical and mental health domains with a favorable safety profile[1][2]. The mechanism is believed to be multi-targeted through modulation of inflammation and improvement in gastric mucosal health.
