EP601

EP601 is a preclinical-stage small molecule agonist of G-protein coupled receptor 84 (GPR84) developed by EPICS Therapeutics for use in cancer immunotherapy. The target, GPR84, is a G-protein coupled receptor predominantly expressed on myeloid cells, including macrophages, natural killer (NK) cells, monocytes, and neutrophils. By acting as an agonist, EP601 is designed to activate these myeloid cells and reverse the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment. In preclinical mouse models, such as the CT26 model, EP601 has demonstrated the ability to significantly augment the anti-tumor response when combined with anti-CTLA4 therapy, leading to over 80% tumor growth inhibition and enhanced survival. The compound is highly selective and exhibits similar potency at both human and mouse GPR84 orthologs.
