Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Epcoritamab + R-CHOP is an investigational combination regimen that adds the CD3xCD20 bispecific antibody epcoritamab (Epkinly) to standard R-CHOP chemoimmunotherapy (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride, vincristine, and prednisone). Epcoritamab acts as a T-cell engager, redirecting CD3-positive T cells to target and eliminate CD20-positive B-cell lymphoma cells, while R-CHOP provides standard cytotoxic chemotherapy and anti-CD20 immunotherapy. The combination is being developed by AbbVie and Genmab for the first-line treatment of newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). In the Phase III EPCORE DLBCL-2 trial, the addition of epcoritamab to R-CHOP demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful 51% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death compared to R-CHOP alone in patients with newly diagnosed DLBCL and an International Prognostic Index (IPI) score of 2 to 5.
