Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FL7736 is a small molecule antineoplastic agent being developed by Canget BioTekpharma as a back-up compound to the lead candidate FL118, specifically for the treatment of prostate cancer. Its mechanism of action, shared with the FL118 platform, involves targeting the DEAD-box helicase 5 (DDX5/p68) and downregulating the expression of several key anti-apoptotic proteins, including survivin, Mcl-1, XIAP, and cIAP2, as well as mutant Kras (mKras). By inhibiting these critical survival and resistance factors, FL7736 is designed to overcome drug resistance and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The compound is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
