Overview

Fluvoxamine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used primarily to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder and social anxiety disorder by increasing serotonin levels in the brain[1][4]. PF-04965842, also known as abrocitinib, is an oral small molecule that selectively inhibits Janus kinase 1 (JAK1), modulating cytokines involved in inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis[5][6][8]. This combination refers to the co-administration of these two drugs, which has been studied for potential drug-drug interactions but is not an approved therapeutic combination. Fluvoxamine is developed and manufactured by various pharmaceutical companies. PF-04965842/abrocitinib was developed by Pfizer for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions.
