Overview
Fuzheng Tongluo Formula is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal prescription used primarily for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and is under investigation for gastric precancerous lesions. The formula consists of multiple herbs and acts by inhibiting lung fibroblast activation, reducing inflammatory responses, promoting autophagy, and alleviating fibrosis. Mechanistically, its effects are mediated via inhibition of the Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (JAK2/STAT3) signaling pathway. Preclinical studies have shown that it can alleviate IPF injury in animal models by these mechanisms[1]. Clinical trials are ongoing to explore its efficacy in gastric precancerous lesions[8].
