Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GB-4542 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Gliknik, utilizing the company proprietary Stradobody platform. Stradobodies are recombinant proteins engineered to multimerize Fc domains, thereby mimicking the high-avidity binding of natural immune complexes to Fc receptors. GB-4542 is specifically designed to target the CD20 antigen, a protein expressed on the surface of B cells. By combining CD20 specificity with the enhanced effector function of the Stradobody architecture, GB-4542 aims to achieve potent B-cell depletion for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and B-cell malignancies. The multimerized Fc structure is intended to provide superior engagement of the complement system and immune effector cells compared to standard monoclonal antibodies.
