Overview

GCS001c is a preclinical-stage therapeutic vaccine being developed by Glen Clova Scientific for the treatment of canine pruritus (itching). The vaccine utilizes a proprietary virus-like particle (VLP) platform to display interleukin-31 (IL-31) antigens, which induces the production of neutralizing antibodies in dogs. By targeting IL-31, a key cytokine responsible for signaling itch in allergic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, GCS001c aims to provide a long-lasting and potentially more accessible alternative to existing monoclonal antibody treatments like lokivetmab. It is being developed as a companion program to GCS001, which targets human pruritus.
