Overview

GRT-C903 is a neoantigen-based therapeutic cancer vaccine developed as a priming vaccine consisting of tumor-specific shared neoantigens. These neoantigens are immunogenic and unique across subsets of patients, designed to stimulate the immune system to recognize and destroy tumor cells. The vaccine works by presenting these shared neoantigens to the immune system, thereby inducing an antitumor T-cell response. GRT-C903 has been studied in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as ipilimumab and nivolumab for advanced solid tumors including colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), pancreatic cancer, and other KRAS-mutated cancers. The developer is Gritstone bio. The mechanism involves immunostimulation through presentation of shared tumor-specific neoantigens that activate cytotoxic T lymphocytes against cancer cells.
