Overview

GTX LNP-pDNA is a non-viral gene therapy delivery platform developed by General Therapeutics, Inc. It utilizes a proprietary lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology based on non-reactogenic, anti-inflammatory ionizable lipid–drug conjugates (iLDC™). The platform is specifically optimized for the encapsulation and delivery of plasmid DNA (pDNA), achieving high transfection efficiencies (up to 85%) and sustained protein expression for up to 20 days in preclinical models. Designed to overcome the limitations of traditional delivery methods like electroporation or cationic lipids, GTX LNPs offer improved tolerability, reduced cytotoxicity, and simplified manufacturing scalability. The platform is being developed for applications including DNA vaccines, protein replacement therapies, and in vivo cell engineering, with demonstrated efficacy in intramuscular and subcutaneous administration routes.
