Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huyang Yangkun Gailiangfang (HYF) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula primarily investigated for the treatment of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and ovarian aging symptoms in perimenopausal women. Derived from the traditional Chinese medicine recipe Danggui Buxue Tang, this multi-ingredient herbal formulation aims to enhance ovarian function and delay reproductive aging. Its mechanism of action involves modulating several cellular pathways, including the Hippo-JAK2/STAT3 pathway, the P53-mitochondrial apoptosis signaling pathway, and the FTO/m6A-P53 pathway. HYF works by protecting ovarian granulosa cells from apoptosis, enhancing follicle development, and influencing hypothalamic GnRH/LH pulse release. The formula consists of Astragali Radix, Herba Epimedii, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Semen Cuscutae, Rehmanniae Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, and Glehniae Radix.
