HW060015 is an orally bioavailable, small molecule inhibitor specifically targeting the KRAS G12C mutation. Developed by Wuhan Renfu Innovative Drug Research and Development Center (a subsidiary of Humanwell Healthcare), it is designed to treat advanced solid tumors, such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer, that harbor the G12C mutation. The drug works by covalently and irreversibly binding to the cysteine residue of the KRAS G12C protein, locking it in an inactive GDP-bound state and thereby inhibiting downstream oncogenic signaling pathways like RAF-MEK-ERK.
