Developed by Wuhan Renfu Innovative Drug Research and Development Center (a subsidiary of Humanwell Healthcare), it is designed to treat advanced solid tumors, such as non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer, that harbor the G12C mutation. The drug works by covalently and irreversibly binding to the cysteine residue of the KRAS G12C protein, locking it in an inactive GDP-bound state and thereby inhibiting downstream oncogenic signaling pathways like RAF-MEK-ERK. HW060015 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients with KRAS G12C-mutated malignancies.
