HWY0301 is a small molecule, highly selective Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor currently under development by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical and Huawe Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis. The drug works by inhibiting the JAK1 enzyme, which plays a critical role in the signaling pathways of several key cytokines, including IL-4, IL-13, and IL-31, that drive inflammation and pruritus (itching) in these dermatological conditions. HWY0301 is administered orally and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics. The developers have secured rights for global development, including in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
