Overview

HY 004 refers to multiple investigational drugs in development by different companies. The most prominent current use is as a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Juventas Cell Therapy for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. This autologous CAR-T product targets both CD19 and either CD20 or CD22 antigens on malignant B cells. Its mechanism involves immunologic cytotoxicity through engineered T lymphocytes that recognize and destroy cancerous B cells expressing these antigens. It is being investigated primarily for relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and precursor cell lymphoblastic leukemia-lymphoma[3][4][7]. There are also references to a small molecule antibacterial agent called HY 004 (developed by Helperby Therapeutics), which is a pyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline compound under investigation as a topical formulation for prevention of post-surgical methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections[5]. Additionally, Hyloris Pharmaceuticals has developed an oral rinse formulation named HY-004 containing tranexamic acid for bleeding control in dental procedures; however, this appears to be a proprietary reformulation rather than an NCE[1].
