Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hyaluronidase-ocsq is a recombinant human hyaluronidase (rHuPH20) developed by Halozyme Therapeutics and Genentech (a member of the Roche Group). It is an endoglycosidase that temporarily and locally degrades hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) in the extracellular matrix of subcutaneous tissue. This depolymerization lowers tissue viscosity and temporarily raises tissue permeability, facilitating the rapid dispersion and absorption of co-administered subcutaneous drugs. Hyaluronidase-ocsq is approved in the United States as a component of Ocrevus Zunovo (a fixed-dose combination with ocrelizumab) for the subcutaneous treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (RMS) and primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS).
