IBI301

IBI301 is a biosimilar of rituximab, a recombinant human-mouse chimeric anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody. It was co-developed by Innovent Biologics and Eli Lilly and Company. Rituximab binds to the CD20 antigen on the surface of B lymphocytes, mediating complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), leading to the elimination of both normal and malignant B cells. This mechanism underlies its use in treating diseases characterized by excessive or dysfunctional B cells, such as certain lymphomas and autoimmune disorders. Clinical studies have demonstrated that IBI301 is pharmacokinetically bioequivalent to rituximab with similar safety, efficacy, and immunogenicity profiles[1][2][3][4][7].
