The iGPS anti-CD20 CAR is a preclinical research tool developed by Kelonia Therapeutics to demonstrate the capabilities of their in vivo Gene Placement System (iGPS) platform. This technology utilizes envelope-modified lentiviral vector particles designed for the specific and efficient delivery of genetic material directly to T cells within the body. By encoding a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting the CD20 protein, the system generates functional CAR T cells in vivo, bypassing the traditional requirements for ex vivo manufacturing and lymphodepleting chemotherapy. In non-human primate models, this approach has successfully demonstrated B cell depletion, serving as a proof-of-concept for Kelonia's lead therapeutic programs, such as KLN-1010, which targets BCMA for multiple myeloma.
