Overview

IM19 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy targeting CD19-expressing cells. Developed by Beijing Immunochina Medical Science and Technology in collaboration with Peking University Third Hospital, it is designed to treat various B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T lymphocytes to express a CAR that recognizes the CD19 antigen on B-cells. Upon administration, these modified T cells bind to CD19-positive tumor or autoreactive B-cells and induce selective cytotoxicity through immunologic mechanisms. Clinical development has reached Phase II for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), mantle-cell lymphoma (MCL), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and several forms of leukemia; early-phase trials are ongoing for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and IgA nephropathy[1][2][3][7].
